Amorgos

The oblong shape of the mountainous and barren island of Amorgos lies on the eastern edge of the Cyclades, almost in the Dodecanese. In some places, the coastline is steep and rocky, while elsewhere it forms quiet, shady bays.

Delos
Delos island, one of the smallest of the Cyclades, Greece, an ancient centre of religious, political, and commercial life in the Aegean Sea. Now largely uninhabited, it is a rugged granite mass about 1.3 square miles (3.4 square km) in area. Also called Lesser Delos, it lies between Rina (Rhenea), or Megali Dhilos (Greater Delos), to the west and Mykonos Island to the east. Since 1873 the Ecole Française d'Athenes ("French School of Athens") has been excavating the island, the complex of buildings of which compares with those of Delphi and Olympia.

Kea

This exceptionally picturesque island lies close to the south-east coast of Attica. The mountain masses, which are encountered in most of the Cyclades, are broken up by small valleys sparsely planted with vines and fruit-trees and run right down to the sea, opening out into pretty little bays.

Kythnos

The small island of Kythnos is mainly mountainous but full of pretty little bays which relieve the harshenees of the bare earth. Hora or Messaria is the island's capital noted for the beautiful churches with their fine wood-carving, sanctuary screens and icons.

Antiparos

Antiparos and Paros are pided by a narrow channel. The island of Antiparos is located southwest of Paros, from which is pided by a shallow channel, of approximately 4n.m. wide, and 4,2m deep. The island covers an area of 35sq.klm, and because of its long shape it has 57klm of beautiful coasts.

Kimolos


Kimolos is a nice, small unspoiled quiet island. It is believed that took its name after chalk (chalk=Kimolia in Greek), which it once produced. Kimolos was known in antiquity for the chalk, used as detergent and in medinical baths (fuller's earth). But according to a legend it took its name after its first inhabitant, Kimolos husband of Side.

Milos

Milos, island, most southwesterly of the major islands of the Greek Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. The greater portion of the 150.6-sq-km island, of geologically recent volcanic origin, is rugged, culminating in the west in Mt. Profitis Ilias 751 m.
